SLIDING TABLE SAW FOR PLASTIC SHEETS EVO K2200

Sliding Table Saw for Plastic Sheets EVO K2200

Precise Panel Cutting for Plastics, Sign Making, Furniture Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering

The EVO K2200 is a professional sliding table saw for clean, dimensionally accurate cutting of plastic sheets in daily workshop and industrial use. As a sliding table saw with a stable aluminium sliding table and high repeatability, the EVO K2200 is particularly suitable for companies that need to cut plastic semi-finished products efficiently to size while expecting consistently high edge quality. With a 2200 mm cutting length, 1300 mm maximum cutting width and a maximum cutting height of 100 mm (at Ø350), the machine is designed for panel cutting tasks that are common in practice

Typical Plastics and Sheet Materials for the EVO K2200

PVC Foam Sheets in the Market, Trade Names and Common Material Terms

In panel cutting, PVC foam sheets (Forex, Kömacel etc.) are a standard material in sign making and shopfitting. Depending on the region and supply chain, these sheets are also sold under trade names such as Sintra, Komatex, Celtec or Palight (Palram). In international trade, such grades also appear with suppliers that customers search for by name, for example Central Coast Plastics

For applications with a particularly smooth, hard surface, sheets produced in the Celuka PVC (for sheets with a hard, smooth top layer) process are in demand, such as SIMONA CELPLAST (Celuka process, hard top layer). Other common market terms include KömaTex (free-foam PVC by Kömmerling) as well as Kömmerling as a manufacturer name. Depending on the product range, KomaCel (often listed in trade as rigid expanded PVC) is also used.

Many customers also describe this material class using synonyms found in project specifications and purchasing lists, such as PVC Foam Board / PVC Foam Sheet, Expanded PVC, Rigid PVC Foam or Free-Foam PVC. For cutting these sheets, the EVO K2200 with sliding table and scoring unit provides a stable basis for clean, reproducible results.

Other Plastics, Engineering Sheets and Composite Materials

Depending on the application, the EVO K2200 is also used for cutting rigid PVC. For transparent and high-quality visible parts, acrylic glass (PMMA/Plexiglas) and polycarbonate (PC/Makrolon) are typical materials. In interior fit-out, furniture manufacturing and for durable surfaces, HPL / compact laminate (strictly speaking a composite, but often processed this way) is common. In technical applications, ABS and PETG also play a major. PE / PP sheets (possible, but more demanding due to smearing) can also be cut if saw blade selection, feed rate and speed are adjusted to the material.

What Is a Sliding Table Saw for Plastic Sheets Used For?

The EVO K2200 is used when plastic sheets need to be cut quickly, cleanly and with repeatable accuracy. Typical tasks in practice include cutting plastic sheets to size (rectangular cuts, series cutting), ripping strips (e.g., 20–200 mm strips from sheets) as well as mitre cuts on sheets (e.g., 45° for cladding, edges) via the tilting saw unit from 0 to 45 degrees

The machine is also used for cut-out preparation (rough cutting first, then routing, finishing) to reduce machining times. In companies with panel logistics, nesting preparation for CNC (dividing sheets into manageable formats) is also an important application to stabilise handling and processes

Typical Industries and Applications

In sign making (acrylic, PVC, Dibond/ACP), the EVO K2200 is used for signs, displays, fascias and cladding. In furniture manufacturing and interior fit-out (HPL, compact laminate, plastic sheets), it is used for precise cutting of fronts, partitions and covers. In mechanical engineering and for guards (PC/PMMA safety screens, cladding panels), it supports the production of technical sheet cut parts. In shopfitting (plastic and composite sheets), it is a reliable solution for serial cutting work

Clean Cut Edges Thanks to Scoring Unit and Stable Table Geometry

Especially with sensitive surfaces and coated sheets, edge quality determines the end result. For this purpose, the EVO K2200 features an integrated scoring unit that scores the surface before the main cut. Combined with the precise aluminium sliding table, this enables controlled workpiece guiding and supports high cutting quality across different plastic and sheet materials
